On 8 March, Russia issued a decree allowing for “special economic measures” which would include curbs on certain imports and exports of goods and/or commodities. These “counter-sanctions” were later confirmed to include various machinery, automobiles and other vehicles, mass-use items, such as dishwashers and baby carriages, items for processing raw materials, computers and related items, semiconductors, and optical fibers to name a few.
