The Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”), in its role as chair of the Forced Labor Enforcement Task Force (“FLETF”), released an updated strategy for the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (“UFLPA”) in its annual report to the US Congress in early July. The updated strategy includes “strong[er] enforcement by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (“CBP”); expansion of the UFLPA Entity List; new high priority sectors for enforcement; and greater collaboration with stakeholders.”
