The US Department of Homeland Security announced the addition of 26 entities to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (“UFLPA”) Entity List 17 May.
From its inception, the UFLPA targeted entities operating in China’s Xinjiang Region (“XUAR”) and companies seen as having XUAR-related entities in their supply chains. The recent additions include “logistics companies” or “warehousing/ storage” entities that were added based on their sourcing practices.
