Richard Tauwhare is an independent consultant specialising in UK, EU and US export controls, sanctions and trade restrictions.
His services include setting up or improving internal compliance programmes, drafting policies and procedures, conducting internal audits, advising on complex issues, assisting with licence applications, and managing Voluntary Self-Disclosures.
As a former senior UK diplomat, Richard has over 40 years’ experience of UK and EU trade controls and sanctions, including as Head of Export Control Policy in the UK Foreign Office and as a Senior Director in the International Trade practice of law firm Dechert LLP in London.
