U.S. export transparency law gives Congress more oversight

President Trump signed a new law in August that grants oversight to Congress of export control applications. It changes the 2018 Export Control Reform Act by authorizing disclosure of export license application details to Congress. Rep. Ronny Jackson (R., Texas) co-sponsored the bill with Rep. Sara Jacobs (D., Calif.) with the objective of requiring more transparency around export licensing processes.
