DOJ: self-disclosing sanctions violations might mean lesser penalties

In a recent update to its voluntary disclosure guidance, The US Department of Justice (“DOJ”) highlighted that companies that do voluntarily self-disclose violations may avoid facing a guilty plea or fine.
