New UK guidance follows the US in emphasizing universities’ export control risks

On 31 March, The UK’s Export Control Joint Unit and Department for International Trade issued guidance for export controls applying to academic research. In both the UK and the US there is a growing trend emphasizing export controls and sanctions risks for universities.
