The European Commission has announced amendments to the list of dual-use items subject to export controls under Regulation (EU) 2021/821, citing the need to align with international security obligations and recent changes in global non-proliferation efforts.
The updated list aims to ensure that items which can be used for both civilian and military purposes, or contribute to the proliferation of WMD, are effectively controlled when exported from, transited through or brokered within the EU.
